Program details
Visit to the cinnamon plantation bordering Villa Kurundu (which means Cinnamon in Sinhala) where a local cinnamon planter will greet us. We walk through the cinnamon plantation where we learn first hand how the southern province produces the best cinnamon in the world. We then head back to Villa Kurundu where we see the cinnamon being peeled and you are given the opportunity to partake in the peeling yourself. Thereafter we walk 100ms to visit a cinnamon factory where the cinnamon is processed and packaged. We then head to the luxurious Kahanda Kanda where a scrumptious four course lunch infused with cinnamon awaits us.
